Refabrications - Revamped for weirdness' sake ...
Without a vision we perish, and so it is that the articles of expression you find herein are part of that distinct vision in the mind of one artist, namely, "Alyssia". That is me. Over the past ten years, I have become an artist of many diverse types as well as an accomplished seller. Most of what is created in the "Refabrications" world is a combining of hand-me-downs, thrift-store finds, newly purchased items and what some people would deem as garbage. Alas, as they say, one man's trash is another's treasure, and so it is with me. But in lieu of ending up on some horrid situation as is presented in the show called "Hoarders", I would rather endeavour to bring about a bit of charm, elegance, and, at times, just sheer oddity to this world through the compiling of random items into something which has never been witnessed beforehand. And so, in this space of the forest, we celebrate preservation of the earth through the upcycling of otherwise cluttering and/or seemingly worthless materials into elaborate masterpieces of tangible joy.
